Choose your next pet from the Clermont County Humane Society. Promote animal safety and responsible pet ownership. Tell your friends about the CCHS's services and programs. Keep current identification on your pet at all times. Spay or neuter your pet. Keep your dog or cat properly confined. Support legislation to protect animals. Report animal cruelty and neglect as well as injured or stray animals. Instruct children as to how to care for animals properly and how to treat them with kindness. The Clermont County Humane Society offers many different types of programs for interested community members to become involved in. Humane Education - involves going out to local schools, churches, day care centers, or wherever a speaker is needed and teaching the importance of responsible pet ownership. Pet Therapy - is a very worthwhile project to become involved in. Take a pet from the shelter into various nursing homes and retirement facilities and brighten up the lives of our older generation. Satellite Adoptions - involves taking shelter animals up for adoption into various local pet stores. All the policies of the shelter apply to these adoptions.
