The Clermont County Humane Society (CCHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1957.

The CCHS exists for the purpose of fostering the adoption of unwanted animals while enforcing the humane treatment of all animals.

The CCHS vision is to be recognized in the community as the adoption center of choice and as the primary network resource of animal information.

The CCHS goals include:

Did You Know in the Past Five Years the CCHS Served:

  • 24,832 animals with shelter care
  • 4,898 animals were adopted into loving homes
  • 1,588 animals were reunited with their families
  • 17,346 animals were euthanized
  • 10,000 residents in nursing/convalescent homes were cheered through our Pet Visitation Program
  • 3,000 school children were educated about responsible pet ownership through our Educational Campaign
  • 750 Scouts participated in "Service Projects" benefiting our Adoption Center
  • And a total of 13,750 direct beneficial public contacts were made!

How You Can Help
As difficult as it is to read and to acknowledge, only 26% of all animals brought into shelter care are either claimed or adopted. With your help, we would like to increase the number of animals adopted exponentially. And the only way we can do this is with your generous support.

All tax deductible donations received (as allowed by law) go to the direct care of the animals. Please help us celebrate our Golden Anniversary by helping us to help the animals we care so much about.

Improving the lives of animals in need since 1957!
