Dear Dog Owner, It's time to renew your dog license for 2008. To make things easier and help accommodate those busy schedules, the Clermont County Animal Shelter has available a mail in registration form. Simply fill in the information and return the application with a self addressed stamped envelope and a check or money order made payable to the Clermont County Animal Shelter in the amount of $14.75 per dog. We will send you your dog license in the mail. The other option is to purchase your license in person. Section 955.01 of the Ohio Revised Code states that every person who owns, keeps, or harbors a dog must register it. In order to avoid a $14.75 penalty, registration should be done by January 31, 2008. Registration begins December 1, 2006. If you mail in your application after January 31, 2008, include the additional $14.00 penalty for each license purchased. We must stress the importance of your dog's license. A license is the best way to ensure the return of your dog if it becomes lost.
