Welcome

The Clermont County Humane Society (CCHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1957. How You Can Help

As difficult as it is to read and to acknowledge, only 26% of all animals brought into shelter care are either claimed or adopted. With your help, we would like to increase the number of animals adopted. And the only way we can do this is with your generous support. All tax deductible donations received (as allowed by law) go to the direct care of the animals.

Pearl and Jasmine came to the Humane Society in February as a result of a cruelty investigation. After months of veterinary care and nurturing by many volunteers and their foster family, they are now ready to be place in a "forever" home. If you are interested, please contact the shelter during regular business hours (Monday through Saturday, 11:30 am - 4:00 pm) at 513.732.8854 for more information.

Stan the Man is a 6-year-old dark bay registered Thoroughbred gelding. He has a tiny star, no other white. He is very well put together, strong clean legs and moves well, and all his people friends think he needs to be a jumper or dressage horse. He is about 16 hands, maybe 16.2. He was rescued from starvation December 2009. He was still a stallion then, but was gelded as soon as his weight returned. He has been turned out on pasture since spring and gets fed twice a day. He's not a hard keeper, but he does need more than good pasture to look his best. He leads well and gets along with mares and geldings. He is not dominant in the herd, but he doesn't invite bullying either. He respects electric fences as long as it is turned on. Stanley has not had much training, but he learns quickly in the round pen. He is calm and tries to please. he is ticklish in the hindquarters. he's had his feed trimmed several times, and there is good strong hoof growing down. Stan needs an experienced handler who si looking to train a horse from start to finish and beyond. He's had his teeth floated, wolf teeth removed, and all his faccines. Coggins is current till December.
